Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej (now Onesti(born November 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now One Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to be awarded a perfect score out of 10 at the Olympic competition. Bela Karolyi was later Romanian gymnastics coach, discovered Comaneci at just the age of six. Her first competition was at the national junior championships of 1969 placing 13th and she was the winner in 1970. She took home three golds at her very first contest which was a junior Olympic meet in 1972. It was for communist-friendly countries. In 1973 and 1974, she was the all-around junior champion. At her first competition with a senior team in 1975 she topped Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva who was a five-time European champion, winning 4 gold medals and one silver. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976. She was the first woman to perform a backward double salto as dismounting from the unbalanced parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The journey into the world of entertainment began in her teens, when she began dancing as a figure skater alongside her younger cousin Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6, 1942, on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her entertainment career when she was in her teens. Her first job was as a the figure skater who performed with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show named Ice Capades. They featured staged ice skating performance.
